Harold R. Miller, passed away peacefully in Mpls on May 22, 2020 at the age of 90 years, of complications from dementia and Covid-19.

Harold was born on Oct. 4, 1929, in West Concord, MN. After graduating from West Concord High School he attended and graduated from the Minneapolis School of Business, then served three years in the Army during the Korean War. For 25 years Harold was General Manager at the Ambassador Resort Motor Hotel. At one point he was elected President of the MN State Hotel/Motel Association.

He was a 45 year member of Westphal American Legion in Robbinsdale, a Past Commander at Westphal, plus a longtime gambling manager at the legion. Harold enjoyed many years spending weekends “up north” at the cabin with family and friends. He was a 30 year Viking season ticket holder, cheering on his team.

Harold was preceded in death by son, Tom; parents, Clifford and Eunice; brother, Donald; sister, Joyce Bandel; former wife, Shirley (Anderson).

He is survived by son, Steve (Janet); daughter, Julie Lindquist (Bill); daughter-in-law, Sue Miller (Bob); friend, Betty Schleif; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; other extended family and close friends.

Service will be held at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Meadow Ridge Senior Living, Methodist Hospital and Catholic Elder Care for the comfort and care they gave Harold. In lieu of flowers or memorials the family asks that donations be made to a local food bank of your choice.
