William John Brausen

William J. Brausen, age 93 of Medina MN. passed away on February 4, 2024 at N.C. Little Hospice, Edina. MN.

William was born on March 18, 1930 in Buckman, MN. to parents Joseph P. and Anna Gassert Brausen.  He was one of eight children.  He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant.  He worked for many years as an accountant overseeing concessions sales for the Minnesota Twins.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Weichert Brausen in 2000.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Brausen Tillman, Ralph Frank Brausen, Helen Brausen Haider, Joseph Peter Brausen, Jr., Bertha Brausen Mays, William John Brausen, and Mary Anne Brausen Schreifels.

Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Monday February 12, 2024 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Medina.  Visitation at church one hour prior to Mass.  Burial with military honors at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
