90, of Rogers, passed away on December 5. Born and raised in Fancy Gap, Virginia, Mary moved to Minnesota in 1952 to marry the love of her life, Richard. The two had met in Washington, D.C., where Mary was working for the FBI, while Richard was a US Marine Honor Guard and Korean War veteran.

Mary was a loving wife and traditional stay-at-home mom who raised five children, kept a spotless home, and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She ensured Richard had ironed shirts, polished shoes and looked his best every day for work and his many business trips. Her dinner parties for Richard’s clients and co-workers were legendary.  During their 60 years of marriage, Mary and Richard enjoyed time with family and friends at the cabin and in Florida.

Mary was preceded in death by Richard, brothers Judd, Gene, John and Carter, granddaughter Christine, son-in-law Jeff, daughters-in-law Ronna and Gretchen. She is survived by sister Dinah, sons Mike, Pat (Connie), Rick (Karen), Gregg (Joyce), daughter Lisa Dearing, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family especially thanks the staff at the Wellstead of Rogers and Above and Beyond Physical Therapy for their many years of nurturing care for Mary.

Visitation on Monday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37 ^th Ave. N., Plymouth. Mass of Christian Burial  on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 21304 Church Ave., Rogers, with visitation one hour preceding service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the MN Alzheimer’s Association.
