Leo John Theis

Leo died on November 22, 2023, at age 84 and 2 days. He was born on November 20, 1939, to John and Marian Theis. Leo was preceded in death by his parents John and Marian Theis, and brother Donald H. Theis (Jean Wrobel). He is survived by sister, Sr. Maribeth Theis (OSB), brother Paul Theis (Marsha), sister Judy (Greg) Henry, and brother-in-law Paul Wrobel. Leo is also survived by nieces and nephews Cindy Theis, Tom Theis, Mark Theis (Wan Suwandi), Averie (Christian) Sunshine, Claire (Matt) Bingham, Allison (Toryn) Lessard, Megan (Adam) Fuchs. Leo lived most of his life in Plymouth, MN. He graduated from Holy Name Grade School, and Wayzata High School 1958. He worked for and retired from the Wayzata School District as a lead custodian. In 2022 Leo moved to Auburn Assisted Living in Waconia and transferred to Auburn Homes in Waconia in September 2023. Leo was a mild-mannered man who could fix anything. He loved the outdoors in particular fishing. He had many fishing “buddies” with whom he maintained friendships. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, December 4, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 155 County Rd. 24 Medina. Visitation at the church at 10 and Mass at 11.
