William Peter of Wayzata, passed peacefully on 11/25/2024 at the age of 96.

A faithful man of God and a lifelong member of the Holy Name of Jesus faith community, he lived his life with a spirit of kindness, humility and gratitude.

Preceded in death by beloved wife, Sylvia, daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Jon Van't Hull, daughter-in-law Pat Rudolph, brother Charlie Schmit and 2nd wife, Renee.

Survived by children, Ron (Kathleen) Rudolph, Peggy (Lee) Aschenbeck, Jeanne (Steve) Rosengren, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. His siblings, Carmen, Carol, Steve and his extended Scherer family of which he took much pride in his heritage and its legacy.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 3rd, 11 AM at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 Cty. Rd. 24, Medina. Visitation 9:30-11 AM at church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family for distribution at a later date.
