William Edwin Fisher

Will, age 80, died quietly at home on November 6, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, William and Hazel Fisher; sister, Charlotte McCray and daughter, Elise Leventhal Collette. Will completed degrees from Millikin University and Dartmouth College, going on to teach at The Blake School for 45 years. Will was a voyageur at heart and a poet. He took great joy in his students, a good game of tennis, and a quiet paddle on the lake. Survived by his wife, Janet Midthun. He was a warm and inventive father to Elise, Daniel (Amy) Fisher, Kara (Jim) Gebhard, and Randi Fisher. His stories live on in his grandchildren Madeline, Max, Sophie, Peter, Leo, Phoebe, Timothy, Willa, and Linus. Memorials preferred to YMCA Camp Warren. A time of memory sharing will take place on Monday during the visitation at 6 pm
