William "Bob" Dougherty

William "Bob" Dougherty

Died peacefully after a rich, full life.

Preceded by beloved wife of 67 years, Jeanne; daughter Longina Harvieux; parents Henry and Harriet; and five siblings (two as infants).

Survived by sons Michael, Thomas (Mona), John (Becky), and Mark; son-in-law Daniel Harvieux; grandchildren Meghan, Michael, Jonathan, Andrew, Isabella and Phillip Dougherty, and Robert, David, Edward and Angela Harvieux; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Rafaela Dougherty and Mary Lou Jameson; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob and Jeanne raised their family in St. Anthony Village, retiring to Clearwater FL before returning to Minnesota in 2001. Bob's roots were in South Minneapolis. Incarnation grade school and DeLaSalle HS class of '39. Served in US Marine corps during WW II. Long-time aeronautical engineer at Honeywell after graduating from U of MN, and a holder of many patents. Bob finished his career at Smith Industries in Clearwater. He had a life long interest in learning new things.

Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation one hour prior to service.
