In 1954, Wayne met Marie while both were teaching at Belding, MI High School. In addition to teaching math, Wayne was involved with coaching a number of sports at Belding. Pursuing Marie also took time and energy! After the Wedding Bells stopped ringing, Wayne left the world of teaching and was whisked away into the Computer Industry which was still in its infancy. What followed was a long list of Computer ‘Pioneer’ companies such as SDC, Univac, The University of Wisconsin, Memorex, Data 100, and Northern Telecom. Wayne and Marie journeyed throughout the US to work locations in MA, NY, MI, CA, AZ, MN, WI and back to Minnesota. Wayne’s last work assignment brought him to Plano, TX where he retired from Northern Telecom. After a decade plus of the retired life in the Lone Star State, Wayne and Marie moved back to Minnesota.
