Virgil Panning of Winter Haven, FL and Plymouth, MN passed away August 26, 2020 from heart disease.
He was born in Green Isle, MN on December 18, 1934. He married Carole (Anderson) Panning in 1956.
After graduation from the University of Minnesota, he taught at Coon Rapids High School. Upon retiring from teaching they moved to Florida where they spent 30 winters. They spent 20 summers in Alexandria, MN before moving to Plymouth.
Virgil enjoyed travelling, golfing, time at the lake, home projects and his wife’s cooking.
Virgil was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Carole, his parents Herman and Louise Panning, sisters Sylvia Vorlicek and Barbara Goetzman, and brother Floyd Panning.
His life was devoted to his loving family and is survived by his son Gregg Panning and daughter Linda Taylor, and sisters Caroline Lien and Sandra Preves. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
At his request, there will be a private service for the family and close friends.
