Vernon J. Baldwin

Vernon James Baldwin, age 87 of Maple Grove, died peacefully surrounded by loving family on October 10, 2017.

He was born April 21, 1930 to Mahlon and Evelyn Baldwin at their home in the Appleton, MN area.  He was the oldest of four brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Virgil.

He is survived by loving wife of 29 years, Carolyn; children, Cindy Choo (Mike), James Baldwin (Ann), Denise Strand (Ozzie), Philip Baldwin (Judy), Eileen Wetzel (Gary); 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Arden and Arvid Baldwin; Carolyn’s  children, Lori Blomberg (Rick), Jim White (Patty), and Leslie Rosen (Brian), and was grandfather to their five children.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka on Tuesday, October 17th at 11 AM, with visitation at 10 AM. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Faith Presbyterian Church.
