Vera A. Kulus, age 83, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Kunkel; brothers Harold, Donald, Victor, David, Daniel; sister Bridget Wagner; brothers-in-law Wilfred Wagner, Ken Albers and Neal Ackley; sisters-in-law Marlis Kulus, and Gertrude, Helen, Viola, and Janet Kunkel.
Vera had a deep love for people; she considered everyone a friend and never had an ill word to say about anyone. She taught Special Ed in Wayzata School District for 20 years, loved to travel and spend winters walking the beach and playing cards with “the gang” in Alabama. An avid baker, she also enjoyed reading, visiting friends, and volunteering at school, church, and the Crisis Nursery. She always had a sparkle in her eyes and a joke on the tip of her tongue. She liked her time on bowling, golfing, volleyball, and softball teams. Vera considered any time spent with her grandkids as the best time.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Kulus; son Paul Kulus; daughter Kari Fairbanks; grandchildren Sarah Morris (Max), and Claire and Owen Fairbanks; siblings Al Kunkel (Sadie), Beatrice Ackley, Hermie Albers, Joan Helget (Butch), and Delrose Kuykendall (Gene); many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
