Tyler Jake Oscar Schreiber Hardin,
Age 36, of New Hope, MN passed away on August 23rd, 2024.
He is survived by his parents, Jim Hardin and Chery Schreiber-Hardin; brother, Michael Hardin; sister, Catelin (Myk) Sakevicius; aunts and uncles, Greg (Joyce) Hardin, Barb Rogers, Steve Schreiber, Tom (Patty) Schreiber, Patti (Donnie) Robarge, Fred Schreiber; beloved nephew, Azuolas "Bubby" Sakevicius; and many beloved cousins, family, and friends.
Tyler Jake Oscar Schreiber Hardin was a welcome addition to our family when he came along on November 10, 1987.
Tyler was generous to a fault giving without being asked, to family, friends, and strangers. It was common for him to pay things forward especially to those in a restaurant or grocery store checkout line if they appeared in need or distress. Or sometimes just because that was how he rolled. He had a habit too of bringing lunch to the entire staff of his vendor warehouses throughout the year.
When called on to help with any task, he was not one to hurry. He would complete the task he agreed to help with and make sure he did right for those with whom he was helping. He knew when he was needed, and he was always there when he was needed.
Tyler was self-employed his entire life. Starting out with a lawn care business then snow plowing (the only thing he did that he did not enjoy!). Welding then flooring before he was introduced to his passion, heating and air conditioning. Working under a mentor for a short period of time, he soon struck out on his own and established Ty's Mechanical. His capacity for figuring out tricky jobs was legion as was his attention to detail. The relationships with his customers were rock solid and went beyond a customer vendor relationship in many cases. He found his calling with Ty's Mechanical!
A hard worker, he did not take much free time but when he did, he enjoyed going to the family cabin and being on the boat or lounging in a comfy lawn chair with a nice cold pop. Travel was focused. Back to his home state of Texas to visit his mom and sister, her hubby and especially his nephew Azuolas, "Bubby". The connection they had was immediate and deep and real. Azuolas will miss his uncle "Ty Ty".
Ty enjoyed board games especially Yahtzee and Acey Deucy, a version of backgammon. Playing pool, throwing darts. He enjoyed golfing as well and going to see the Twins was always a treat. Watching a sporting event with his dad and brother was always a highlight. Tyler loved to provide play by play and color commentary all at once! Fishing was fun too especially when he caught some big ones on Lake of the Woods. Ty had an amazing recall of people's names. Loved good food but thought it was hard to find post pandemic. He believed his mom was the best cook, his favorites were macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, and carrot cake. He also enjoyed gadgets, tinkering with them, learning about them probably as much as actually using them. That was his way.
Tyler loved looking ahead and planning. Buying a home soon, getting married and starting a family were things he was looking forward to before he left us. He left too soon but when we are able to pause and reflect, we will count our blessings he was with us for 36 years.
Tyler was loved by his family and friends. He will be so very missed. His family hopes that everyone may find solace in their memories that feature Tyler as we all somehow navigate this life without his bright light and one-of-a-kind personality.
