Thomas R. Schlangen

Thomas R. Schlangen, age 68 of Corcoran, passed away June 22, 2024.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ann Schlangen; children, Paul (Amanda) Schlangen, Diane (Ginger) Yantes, Adam Schlangen; grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Isaac, Thomas, Chloe, Addison, and Julia; siblings, Marilyn Gruber, Marina Schlangen, Gloria (Bill) Fink, Leo (Joanne) Schlangen, Sy (Betty) Schlangen, Bert (Janie) Schlangen, Vic (Jan) Schlangen, Ellie (Tom) Nistler, Val Hommerding, Karen Cavanaugh, Mary (Frank) Ulwelling, Kevin (Joyce) Schlangen, Mike (Jane) Schlangen; sisters-in-law, Kathy Schlangen, Karen (Richard) Kuechle, Pat Schlangen; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isabella and Paul Schlangen; brothers, Bob Schlangen, Tony Schlangen, and Don Schlangen.

Tom was born December 17, 1955, in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. He grew up in Richmond, MN and graduated from Rocori High School. Tom was the business owner of a gas station for 38 years. He loved giving advice and always said “what a person could do”. Tom loved playing cards, especially 500, with his family, or anyone that would play with him. He loved being outside and working in the yard with his equipment, or giving his grandchildren rides on the Gator. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, preceded by two hours of visitation at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park. Interment at St. Thomas Cemetery.
