Thomas Schaedler

Schaedler, Thomas, age 85, a dear, compassionate person, beloved by everyone as "Tom", passed away at home on October 3, 2024.

He is preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Nell Schaedler, and nephew, Adam Brown.

Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Cooper, son Joe Schaedler, sister Sue (Mike) Brown, nieces Erin and Jessie, great-nieces and -nephews, and friends made over a lifetime of social work, chess mastery, and stamp collecting, and thriving in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the city he loved so much. He was one of the kindest of men. Even as his health failed, he relished telling his reminiscences and his "dad jokes" to anyone who would listen.

Special thanks to Hennepin County's Coordinated Care Clinic; Rebecca Howard of Legacy Home Care; and to the wonderful MN Visiting Nurses Association, whose RNs, aides and therapists ensured he could stay, all his life, in the home that he loved.

Visitation Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4-7 PM with 6:30PM Prayer Service at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave S. St. Louis Park. Private interment Park Hill Cemetery, Duluth.
