Thomas ("Tom") O'Reilly passed away at the age of 86.  Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Ellen O'Reilly; his sister, Judy; brother, Jim; his daughter, Pam and sister-in-law, Judy. 

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gayle; daughter, Kelly (Todd); son, Patrick (Mary) and daughter, Maureen (Tim); grandchildren, Tim (Kim), Dan (Michelle), Kandice (Ed), Andrew, Amanda (Robby), Lizzie, Paige, Paris and Kora;  great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Lorallai, Leyla, Gretta, Elliot, Peighton.

He graduated from Goodhue High School, received a Bachelor's degree from St. John's University where he was an All-American football player. He went on to receive a Masters degree in Secondary Administration and Psychology.

Tom was a lifelong educator, working in various roles at Benilde, Blake, St. Thomas Academy, Holy Angels, Community Intervention as a teacher, coach, Vice-Principal, Principal and Head Master.

He loved his family as he always put them first.  He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, volunteering and cooking. 

Tom was a wonderful storyteller and had a great wit about him.  He will be greatly missed as he has touched so many lives.

A funeral mass celebrating his life will be held at the Church of St. Therese, 18325 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven, MN, on Monday, August 19th at 11:00, with visitation one hour before.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Columbkill Catholic Church cemetery in Goodhue, MN.
