Thomas W O'Brien

Thomas William O'Brien, age 72, of Arden Hills, MN. succumbed to lung cancer on Wednesday, January 11, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by parents, Vince and Irene O'Brien.

He is survived by Sue, his wife of 51 years, children Terry (Rebecca), Shannon (Tom), Danny (Kim), Kelly, nine beloved grandchildren, brothers Mike and Pat and a very large extended family.

Tom was a graduate of De La Salle (1962).  He had a 20 year career as a driver with Zinsmaster Baking Co., later working for the Edina School District.  After retiring he worked at Columbia Golf Course.  Tom had a life-long love of rock and roll and sports, especially golf.  He will be remembered as a great listener, problem-solver, and coach in sports and life.  His one-liners and quick wit will be missed by all.

Services will be Friday, January 13 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 Third Ave S. Mpls. 55419 (612-823-8205). Visitation at 4 PM, Funeral Mass at 5 PM, reception at 6 PM.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society or Mobile Loaves and Fishes C/0 St. Joan of Arc.
