Thomas W. Christoferson

Thomas Walter Christoferson “Tom”, age 92, of New Hope, passed away peacefully and comfortably at his home on November 4, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Cheryl Moline; his parents, Oscar and Patricia; his sisters, Clara Listug and Patsy Chapman and his brothers, Raymond, Robert and Jerry.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Muriel; granddaughter, Katie Moline (Dan Johnson); brother-in-law, Richard Negaard; sisters-in-law, Jean Evans and Mary Kay Negaard; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom graduated from Mound High School in 1950 and joined the Army in 1951. From 1952 until his retirement in 1986, he was employed by Northern States Power/Xcel Energy. He loved to travel and enjoyed playing poker and golf with his many friends. Tom will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and for helping others.

Tom will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors in a private family service.
