Terry was born March 10, 1934, in St. Louis Missouri, to Joseph and Helen Brunnert.  She was the middle of 5 children.  She graduated from St Francis de Sales High School.  Her first job was working at a flower shop.  She made corsages and loved orchids.  Later she worked at a utility company in St Louis.

Terry met Ken when she and her sister Marie attended a Broadway type show at an outdoor Amphitheater called the Muny Opera in St Louis.  After the show they took the bus home and happened to sit in the seats in front of Ken and his friend.  Ken was in the air force and was traveling back to Illinois after attending the same show.  Although they did not exchange numbers on this day, they eventually managed to connect again and on February 2, 1957, they were united in marriage.  They honeymooned at Lutsen Ski area in MN.  Terry had never skied before so this was the beginning of many new adventures and experiences.

Terry and Ken built their home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.  Many of their neighbors became close friends.  Her first job in MN was at NSP then later she worked downtown Minneapolis at Metcalf Orthopedics doing office administration.  For many years she walked two blocks from home to take the city bus to and from work.

Terry and Ken joined a ski club together where they made many lifelong friends.  They went on ski trips out west, Canada and even the Alps.  Terry learned to race and even won a few trophies for skiing.  With the ski club she also did other activities such as camping, canoeing in the BWCA, playing volleyball and hosting fondue parties.

When her daughter Julie was born, she truly felt blessed to be a mom. Planning a birthday party for Julie each year brought her great joy.  Together they enjoyed biking, skiing, shopping and taking their beloved dog, Muffin, for walks.  As a family they spent time at their lake place on Leech Lake and going on vacations.  Terry was known for her apple pie, deviled eggs, sewing sequined Christmas wall hangings and stockings, as well as, gathering family and friends together to make homemade ice cream.

When her twin grandsons were born, she beamed.  They were very special to her.  She enjoyed spending time with them at the family lake place, baking cookies, making candies, taking them to plays and watching them play sports. When she was traveling, she would send the boys postcards from her many locations.  She knew they would be excited to get mail.

Terry had a playful spirit.  She enjoyed being silly and making people laugh.  Her laugh was recognizable, and friends and family couldn’t help but join in with her laughter.  She was kind, thoughtful and fun loving.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen Brunnert; infant baby son Joseph; sister and brother-in-law Marie and Glenn Smock; brother Rev. Edward Brunnert; brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Kathleen Brunnert; parents in-law Benjamin and Helen Lichttenengger; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ward and Editha Lichttenegger; brother-in-law Warren Banks.
