Susannah May (Svoboda) Trebtoske, age 77, of Crystal, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 21, 2017.
Susannah is survived by her husband, Peter Trebtoske; her children, Michelle Marie Trebtoske and Julie Lynn Eid (George); sister-in-law, Bernadette O’Connor; daughter-in-law, Colleen Trebtoske; son-in-law, Donald Metzger; grandchildren, Bronte Metzger, Aaron Metzger, Samantha Trebtoske, Christian Metzger, Jack Trebtoske, and Shiloh Kenney; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Susannah is preceded in death by son, Gregory Paul Trebtoske, and daughter, Alicia Ann Metzger; mother, Anna May Bonness Svoboda and father, Ralph Svoboda; brothers, David, James, and Joseph.
Susannah was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 27, 1939. She graduated from Creighton University in Omaha in 1961. On June 10, 1961, Susannah married the love of her life, Peter. Susannah was an avid antique dealer, a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, and a world-class lover of cooking and food. Susannah was known for her love of the Lord, festive and fun gatherings of family and friends, and welcoming one and all to partake in delicious food and fellowship at the family dinner table.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at the Basilica of Saint Mary, 88-17th Street North, Minneapolis, 55403, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be Friday at 10am at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Gifts and donations can be made in the name of Susannah to Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, 1200-2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55403.
