Susan “Sue” Kaye Halverson (Dalager), age 74, of Plymouth MN, died unexpectedly on Friday November 19, 2021.
Sue was born on November 13, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN to Elmer and Idella Dalager. She grew up in Montevideo, MN. Following graduation from Montevideo High School in 1966, Sue attended the Minneapolis School of Business. After finishing her accounting degree, she married Jon Halverson. Jon and Sue would soon after travel and move to Holland so Jon could continue his art studies at Minneapolis College of Art & Design. Upon arriving back in the United States Jon and Sue would settle in the Twin Cities and raise a family and start a business.
Sue enjoyed many hobbies including games of Bridge, Mah-Jongg and Words with Friends. She also spent hours knitting, many of the items she donated to the Ronald McDonald House. She traveled to Arizona in the Winter to escape the cold weather. Her favorite hobby of course was spending as much time as she could with her six grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Idella (Erickson) Dalager. She is survived by her husband Jon, children Molly (Sam) Auseth of Maple Grove, Adam (Rhiana) Halverson of Rogers, sister Karen (John) Ryan of Plymouth, grandchildren Olivia, Dylan, Adriana, Ivy, Hudson, and Wilder, nephew Rob Ryan and great nephew Lachlyn.
A funeral service will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins, MN on Tuesday November 30, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM, funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with a luncheon immediately following. We will have the internment following the luncheon. Service to be live-streamed at:
