Sue passed away peacefully on May 20th surrounded by love and song after a 2 year journey with cancer.
She lived her life based on her faith and took to heart the message of Faith, Hope, and Love, the greatest of these being Love.
Survived by beloved husband of 47 years, Bud; 6 loving daughters, Meagan (Mike), Katie, Brenna (Luke), Emily (Tom), Suzanne (David), and Maura (Bobby); 14 adoring grandchildren, Ryan, Katie Rose, Evan, Madeline, David, Abigail, Eliana, Claire, Aidan, Jack, Benjamin, Estelle, Rowan, and William; and older siblings DeeDee, Vern, Mary, and Don.
In addition to raising her own 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and husband, children and many others found love, safety, warmth, and open arms with Sue. Everyone that entered Bud and Sue’s house, which frequently smelled of fresh baked goods, were instantly welcomed, accepted, and loved for who they were.
Her husband will remember her as the woman who taught him how to live, how to love and that it’s not important to be fearless but to overcome your fears. Above all he will remember a woman who loved ferociously.
Sue instilled the love of music in her girls from a young age through children’s choir, singing in nursing homes, annual caroling parties, and songs around the campfire. She was the ideal mom being both friend and confidant. Her calm, reassuring presence provided comfort and healing through every stage of life.
Grandma Sue’s grandchildren will always remember Christmas PJs, ice cream Tuesdays, crunchy snacks, making books come alive, snuggles in her lap, holiday decorations, and boisterous family gatherings.
Sue was happiest when surrounded by the chaos of love.
Preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Conaway; mother and father-in-law, Becky and Richard Conlin; sister-in-law, Sherri Goodacre.
A public memorial service will held at later time.
