Sheila Louise (Rekdahl) Marquis, age 66, of Big Lake, passed away on November 25th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 9 th , 1955, to Donald and Marylu in St Louis Park, MN. Sheila and her husband, Scott, wed on July 7 th , 1990, and together they raised their beautiful daughters, Erica, Natalie, and Tiffany.   Sheila loved spending time with her daughters and five granddaughters. Her passions included boating on the lake with family and friends, spending time on the North Shore, traveling to warm locations, attending the Minnesota State Fair, planning for the next Halloween and Christmas season, tending to her overabundant plants and flowers, and supporting her community as well as the Humane Society. She had countless dear friends, and was a loving wife, mother, and nana. She had a radiant smile, a spitfire personality, a contagious laugh, and a sharp wit, all of which will be deeply missed by many.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marylu Rekdahl, in-laws, Judith and Walter “Skip” Marquis, and grandson, Thomas Neil.

She is survived by her adoring husband, Scott; daughters, Erica (Andrew) Crook, Natalie (Jake) Salmi, Tiffany (Drew) Aanenson; granddaughters, Emelia, Hannah, Gabriella, Eva, and Nina; brothers, Peter and Steven Rekdahl; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Visitation and Celebration of Life Thursday, December 9, 4-7PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37 Th Ave N. @ Vicksburg Lane.  The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to your local Humane Society.
