Seth McClair Trahms

Seth McClair Trahms, age 7, of Burnsville, Minnesota, son of James and Christine Trahms, and brother to Will Trahms, died on July 17, 2021, after a tragic accident.

Seth was such a sweet and spunky boy. He always had a dimpled grin to flash at everyone. As a homeschooled 2nd grader, he loved learning—especially math and history. Seth had a very mechanical mind and would take all sorts of things apart to understand how they worked. Tinker Toys and Legos were some of his favorite toys, and he would play with them for hours and design amazing creations with his brother. He was an avid bug hunter, spending hours silently stalking anything with six or more legs in the back yard. He and his brother were best friends, and they did everything together. Their favorite pastime was to tell stories back and forth to each other. They also loved riding bikes and scooters, watching anything Star Wars together with Dad, and visits to many parks with Mom. His favorite sports were tennis and swimming. Seth loved attending Classical Conversations every Monday—learning and playing with all of his CC friends. He enjoyed listening to Adventures in Odyssey and Jonathan Park. Attending Fourth Baptist Church with his family was always a joy for Seth, and he enjoyed participating in the Children’s Choir and the AWANA Club. Above all, Seth loved the Lord. He asked forgiveness for his sins and accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 5. He has said for sometime that he wanted to be a pastor when he grew up. Life was an adventure for him—and with him. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his aunt, Catherine Livingston, and several great aunts and uncles. Those left to honor Seth’s memory are his Grandparents: William and Marcia Livingston, Steve and Carlyn Trahms; Aunts and Uncles (and Cousins): Wm. Carl and Vicky Livingston (Wm. Blake, Ethan, Clayton, Claire, Paige); James and Desirae Livingston (Caleb, Natalie, Madeline, Benjamin); Charity and Shane McMullin (Macayle, Aeryn); John and Alisha Trahms; Charissa and Joe Jiang (Ryker). Seth also has a very large extended family who loves him and will miss him deeply.

Visitation for Seth will be held on Friday, July 23, 4-7 PM at Fourth Baptist Church, 900 Forestview Lane North, Plymouth.  Seth’s service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Fourth Baptist with reception to follow.  Interment Valley Cemetery, Shakopee, MN.  Memorials preferred to the family.
