Sarah McElhiney

Sarah McElhiney, 43, of Mounds View, passed away on April 1, 2021. Sarah fought to beat the odds against cancer until the end, until her body couldn’t take anymore. Sarah passed away surrounded by love peacefully, and without pain. We will all miss her big heart and smile. Our Karaoke superstar with the quick witty jokes will live on as parts of us in our memories and hearts.

She is survived by her daughter, Alexis Pfuhl; father, Robert McElhiney; siblings, Amy Lee Pfuhl, AJ Pfuhl,  Sheri Pfuhl, Samantha Pfuhl and Jenn Reamer; life-long friends: Erica Buchner and  Erin Ferguson; bonus-family, Leah Lodermeier and Luke Benson; nieces; nephews,  aunts, uncles, cousins, friends from her cancer support groups, and friends.

Preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Pfuhl; Stepfather, Allan “Al” Pfuhl;  nephew, Tylan Morefield; best friend, Nikki Schenk, and grandparents.

Private family services are to be held on Saturday, April 10 at 2 PM. The service  will be livestreamed on this obituary page if you would like to be with the family that day. The recording of the service will stay online for 90 days.
