Sandy grew up Finlayson, MN.  She graduated from Macalester College and taught kindergarten before attending to the needs of her growing family. She enjoyed ceramics and needlepoint - winning State Fair awards for several of her works. She served as a long-time volunteer at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church and leader of the annual fund-raising bazaar for St. Paul Children’s Hospital.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
