Ruth Irene Davidson

Ruth Irene Davidson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 27, 2024 at the age of 90.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Ruth was born on September 7, 1933 in Lotts Creek, IA to William and Theresa (Radig) Fuerstenau. She graduated from Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester in 1954. Later, she earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Minnesota and worked as a nurse educator. She married Donald M. Davidson in 1961 and lived in St Louis, MO. Eventually, they settled in New Hope, MN and raised their family.

Ruth is survived by her three children: Cynthia (Allen) Vaughn of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; Diana (Todd) Lofstrom of St. Paul; and Steve (Sandy) Davidson of Eagan; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Henry Mueller; husband, Donald; sons David and Douglas; and four brothers, Paul, Reuben, Robert and Eugene Fuerstenau.
