Ruby Lila Werner

Ruby “Lila” Werner, formerly of Crystal and Robbinsdale, passed away December 27, 2016 at age 92.  Lila was born and raised in Little Fork, MN. She served as a WAVE in the Navy during WWII.  She graduated from St. Cloud State University and during her career she was a school teacher, worked at Honeywell and was a secretary for the State of Minnesota. Lila had a larger than life personality and loved to entertain with her many stories. She enjoyed many activities including sewing, Nordic and Alpine skiing, golf, tennis and tap dancing. In her later years she volunteered with many organizations including Three Rivers Park District, Robbinsdale School District and Robbinsdale Seniors.

She is survived by her son Stuart Werner (Joni) and daughter Tracy Parks (Daniel).   Lila was a loving grandmother to Leanne and Katherine Werner, Joseph Parks (Danielle), Hannah Hill (Stephen), Davis Parks and Nathan Parks (Kelly). Also survived by her brother Earl Larson; sisters, Charlotte Knapek and Geil Anderson, and many other extended family members. Additionally there were four brothers and four sisters who preceded her passing.

There will be a Private Interment. Memorials may be directed to Three Rivers Park District Foundation.
