Mothers Are So Dear
Lyrics to song by Dawn Kallevig
She taught me love when I was but a child
She knew me with her eyes
And comforted my cries
My homemade gifts were better than the store
She made me feel so proud
So glad she was around
Lord, thank you for mothers
Mothers are so dear
Mothers are so dear
And her children will rise up and call her blessed
For all the love she's shown throughout their lives
As I grow older, Mother stays the same
The memories make me smile
Her life makes mine worthwhile
And though I'm grown, I'll always be her child
While grateful for the others
I thank God most for mothers
Lord, thank you for mothers
Mothers are so dear
Mothers are so dear
