Ronald Victor Lappi, 81, Minneapolis

October 8, 1942 to September 12, 2024

Preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Elborg; and brother, Edwin. Survived by Susan, wife of 59 years; children, Brian, Michelle (Charles) and Brent; and brother, Richard (Carol).

Ronald attended Patrick Henry High School, class of 1960. He then went to the University of Minnesota and Mankato State University where he earned his M.B.A. He joined the Navy in 1960, rising to the rank of Lt. Commander before retiring after 22 years of service. 

After returning from active duty, Ron went to work at Gould, Inc. as a Bench Chemist with the battery division. After getting his M.B.A., he went into sales for Sears Roebuck Co. He specialized in home improvements based on his experience working with his brother's fencing company. He retired after working for Sears for over 20 years. 

He joined the Masonic order at Arcana Lodge #187 in N.E. Minneapolis where he served as Grand Master in 1989. He was also a Shriner and marched in many parades as a member of the Oriental Band. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and his beloved grand-puppy Hoover, traveling, going to the cabin, driving his speedboat and cooking outdoors.

 Service Friday, September 20th, 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway. Interment Ft. Snelling.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
