Ronald Hubred

Ronald Hubred, Age 66 of Maple Lake, MN passed away suddenly on June 7, 2023.

Ronald was born the youngest of 4; on May 2, 1957 to Clinton and Ardys Hubred. He grew up in Robbinsdale, MN and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1975; going on to attend Hennepin Technical College.

After votech, Ron began working as a sheet metal fabricator for Buhler; where he worked for 45 years until retiring in 2021. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, in 1979 and went on to raise three children (Nicholas, Kelsey and Courtney) in Champlin, MN.

Ron was a man of few words who liked to stay busy working on things and was known to be able fix anything. He enjoyed being on the lake, hunting, four wheeling, sitting with his dogs and playing bingo. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In recent years the joy of becoming a “Papa” and sharing M&Ms with to his best buddy and favorite person, Braxton.

Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy; children Nicholas Hubred, Kelsey Hamel (Paul) and Courtney Van Houtan (Richard); grandchildren Braxton Hamel, Nicholas and Taylor Van Houtan; siblings Pam Stoltenberg, Jim Hubred (Janet), and Cheryl Stoltenberg (Paul); many nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents, Clinton and Ardys Hubred and brother in law Wayne Stoltenberg.

Services will be held at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Home in Robbinsdale, MN on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Visitation from 4-6:30pm with services at 6:30pm followed by socialization. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
