Passed away peacefully after years of battling leukemia and complications from a bone marrow transplant.
Preceded in death by mother, Mary Bryant Dickmeyer.
Survived by his loving wife Diane; children Laura, Jason, Andrea and Lindsey; father Everett Dickmeyer; sisters Pamela and Diane (Longerbone); his faithful canine companion Bella; numerous cousins and friends; as well as his beloved Ford Aerostar.
Ron was a chemical and electrical engineer who enjoyed the challenge of solving problems and was known as the man who could fix anything. He was an avid pilot and loved to fly his Lake Amphibian to Lobster Lake and favorite fishing spots along with bigger trips to the Bahamas, Arizona and the Arctic Circle. He lived life fully and without apology; his adventurous spirit was apparent in his passion for scuba diving, hunting, world traveling and a fighting spirit that stubbornly persevered through many difficult years of illness. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Mayo Methodist Hospital, Station 9-4 for their care and compassion
