Ost, Roger C., age 93 of Golden Valley. Born June 14 th , 1925 and died October 8 th , 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Bernice and Charles Ost; sisters, Florence (Babe), Genevieve and Betty; brother, Bob; wives, Helen 0st and Pat Nelson Ost. Survived by sister, Kathleen; and many nieces and nephews. Roger enlisted in the Navy the day after he graduated from high school and served in WWII from 1943-1946. Upon returning home he worked for Grain Belt Brewery and later Eastside Beverage. He was a founding member of Chester Bird American Legion Post 523 Golden Valley and the Golden Valley V.F.W. Roger was a very remarkable man who loved to drive across the United States of America and once again is "on the road again". We wish to thank the staff at Heritage House - Colonial Acres and Methodist Hospice for all the kindness and care given to our uncle. Mass of Christian Burial Friday (10/19), 10 AM with reviewal starting at 9 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Ave. So., Golden Valley. Luncheon to follow Mass with burial at Ft. Snelling on Monday (10/22), 10 AM (Assembly Area #2). Memorials preferred to Church of the Good Shepherd or the Basilica of St. Mary.
