Roger G. Johnson, Age 87 of Robbinsdale passed away very peacefully in the midst of family on June 11, 2016 at North Memorial Hospital. A loving husband and devoted father, Roger enjoyed sharing his life and passions with family, friends and colleagues. After growing up on a farm outside of Cosmos, MN, and graduating from Litchfield High School, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and later moved to Minneapolis where he started a 40-year career at the Grain Exchange. The quintessential handyman, he willingly painted rooms, repaired plumbing, fixed electrical problems and generally leant a hand to whomever needed help. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling, helping the Boy Scouts, completing crossword puzzles (in ink), delivering meals to the needy, and supporting the MN Twins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Georgianna, his sister Geneva, and his brothers Orville and Naldo. He is survived by his brother Merrill (Donna), his second wife JoAnn, his children, Roger, Bob (Faith, deceased), Lynn Boerhave (Ross) and Rich (Keely), and his grandchildren Adam, Grant, Billy, Anna, Cecilia, Brynne, Lydia, Shenae and Nathan. Upon marrying JoAnn, he lovingly embraced her children David (Laurie), Dean (Paula), Dale, Dan Radmacher and DiAnne Ayshford (Bill Jr.), and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He held a special place in his heart for his large extended family of nieces and nephews.
