Robin Rae Guy

age 64, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota died on August 27, 2024. She passed away after battling early onset Dementia for more than 10 years. This awful disease robbed Robin of her memory far too young, but it never robbed her of spirit as that beautiful smile never left her face during her short time on this Earth. 

Robin was born on September 30, 1959 to Max and Mona Beck of Sandstone, Minnesota. After divorcing, Mona would later marry John Ruha, who became Robin’s much-loved stepfather. 

Robin graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1978. She married Jack Guy on May 16, 1981, and together they had 3 sons: Marshall, Brandon, and Austin. She and Jack later divorced. Robin worked for a number of years at Johnson Truck Bodies of Rice Lake, WI; and then later as a legal secretary for the Law Firm of Messerli Kramer in downtown Minneapolis, MN.

Robin loved to take pictures and then create beautiful scrapbooks with the many pictures she took. She also enjoyed traveling, and was particularly fond of her travels to England and France. Family was the most important thing to Robin. She was a beloved daughter, a cherished sister, an amazing mother to her 3 sons, and an adored grandmother to her 3 grandchildren.

Robin is survived by sons Marshall (Connie) Guy and Brandon Guy. She is survived by her grandson Jayden Guy, and granddaughters Addison Guy and Isabella Guy. She is survived by siblings: Tammy (Ken) Kvanbeck, Heidi (Jeff) Wallace, Jolene (Michael) Dorf, David (Liz) Ruha, Jeannette Mollenhoff, and Tony (Twilah) Beck. 

Robin was preceded in death by her father Max Beck, mother Mona Ruha, and stepfather John Ruha. Austin Guy, Robin’s youngest child, passed away just 3 short weeks before her death. 

A joint Celebration of Life for Robin Guy and her son Austin Guy on Saturday, September 28 at 11:30 AM at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., Plymouth. Visitation one hour prior and a light lunch to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Robin's family.
