Roberta "Bobbi" Stinger

Roberta “Bobbi” Stinger passed from this life on the afternoon of March 23rd after a decline in health from pulmonary fibrosis and other related health conditions. She had her oldest daughter by her side in her last hours of life. Bobbi was born in Grand Forks, ND to Robert and Lorraine McConkey. She lived around the country and the world as the daughter of an Air Force Master Sergeant. Bobbi met her beloved husband Ralph in 1971 and they were married in Aurora, Colorado in 1972. Bobbi and Ralph moved to Plymouth, MN in 1983 where they spent the past 40 years.

Bobbi worked for the Wayzata Public Schools for many years and retired in 2016. Throughout her life she was actively involved in the community and her church through the Girl Scouts, KC Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteering with various organizations. Bobbi was a diehard Vikings fan and loved spending summer days in the pool. She was very social and active in retirement where she enjoyed getting together with friends for lunch, attending card group, volunteering at church, going for weekly walks with friends, and most of all- spending time with family and her cherished grandkids.

Bobbi is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ralph; daughters Michelle (Chad) Thiesse and Samantha (Josh) McIlrath; 4 grandchildren, Kaylee, Ava, Kellen, and Liam; and 7 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lorraine McConkey.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, March 30 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N (@ Vicksburg Lane).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 31 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Rd 24, Medina, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.

Interment following in the church cemetery.
