Robert Whitney, Jr.

Robert Whitney, Jr., age 91 of Golden Valley, passed away October 23rd.

He was preceded in death by wife Deloris Whitney, parents Robert Sr. and Julia Whitney.

Robert is survived by daughter Laura (Jim) Tillotson; son David Whitney; grandchildren Cori, Krysta, Brett, Meggan, & Annie; 10 greatgrandchildren; sisters Ada Dumas and Beatrice Noller.

Robert was a veteran of both the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant after a 22 year career. He then worked 20 years with the U. S. Postal Service. Robert "Bob" was Post Commander of the St. Louis Park VFW #5632 from 1974-1975 and volunteered for many organizations in his lifetime.

Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment following in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
