Robert C. Whitman, a ge 93 of Medina died Sun. Jan 15.

He is survived by wife of 42 years, Darlyne (Dar); children: Randy (Roberta), Long Lake; Ron (Connie), Eden Prairie; Christine Nordstrom, Plymouth; Richard Whitman, Hopkins; grandchildren Marisa Tastad (Aaron), Issaquah, WA; Heather Metcalf (Steve), Livonia, MI; Eric Nordstrom, Plymouth: Ellen Engstrom (Mike), Minnetonka; Rachel K o madina (Jason), Fremont, CA; Robert Whitman (Kristi), Columbia Heights; Ann Whitman, Minneapolis; great grandchildren: Steven, Cassady, Nathan, and Owen.

Bob died peacefully as he lived, with strong faith, deep love, and true integrity!  Born in Iowa to Harry and Neva, attended the University of Iowa (forever a Hawkeye fan), a Ball Seed Co. Horticulture Salesman for 39 years.  Helped start and develop the MN Emmaus Community, worked with Sports World Ministry bringing professional athletes to MN to talk to our youth about their life choices.  With the Medina Ridge Workshop men he helped to make furniture for Messiah’s Bloom Child Care Center.

Memorial service is at 11 AM Sat., Jan. 28 at Messiah Church, 17805 Cty. Rd. 6, Plymouth (763-473-6968).  Visitation is at 10 AM.

Memorials preferred to Messiah Church or to Bloom Child Care Center Scholarship Fund for low income families.

Flowers are welcomed because of Bob’s special respect for the Horticulture Industry.

This remarkable man will be missed by many!
