Bob’s life was filled with many adventures including being an Eagle Scout, attending MSU, serving as an aviation officer in the Navy, skydiving, hot air ballooning, running and inline skating marathons, biking, traveling the world and loving his family, church, and community.
Bob was an accomplished businessman working in the field of packaging engineering. He was a member of ASTM International and the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP). His latest adventure was seeking treatment for his myelodysplastic syndrome.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; daughters, Katy (Beau) Hammel and Christa (Drew) Engquist; grandson, Forrest Hammel; brothers, Larry (JoAnn) and Grant (Jenny) Fiedler; many loving family and friends. Special thanks to Larry and Grant and their wives for stepping up without hesitation to make a bone marrow transplant an option for Bob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenora and Ed Fiedler.
Bob felt gratitude for the life God gave him and we are grateful for the years he spent with us.
