Robert Lawrence Christensen Sr, 84, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Linda, by his side on March 13, 2025.
Born on August 9, 1940, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Christensen; his children, Kari Totall (Tom), Rob Christensen (Debbie), and Erik Christensen (Jennifer); his cherished grandchildren, Joe, Lucas, Elli (Andy), Logan (Maddie), Nick, Lance, and Vivian; and his precious great-grandchildren, Brielle and Brantley.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in nature, whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the fresh air. He was also a skilled craftsman, known for his ability to build, fix, and create with his hands. In his downtime, he appreciated the simple pleasures of life, including a Brandy Manhattan shared with friends and family.
He will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him, and his legacy of love and strength will live on through the many lives he touched.
Robert will be buried with honors in a private ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A private family gathering will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
