Richard and Alice Colin

Richard J. (Dick) Colin, age 92, passed away June 11, 2022. He was born October 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Christine Colin.

Alice P. Colin, age 85, passed away November 26, 2009. She was born April 1924, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alice and Frank Prymos.

Dick loved the outdoors, fishing, going to their cabin on Rock Lake, working on motors, and fixing most anything. Alice enjoyed the cabin, baking, she was active with Girl Scouts, and was an excellent seamstress. They shared a deep, long-lasting love for each other and their family.

Richard and Alice are survived by their daughters, Paula Everson, Donna Loewen, Debbie (Chip) Kemppainen; grandchildren, Barb (Dan) Vesel, Joe Everson, Gordon Loewen, Brian Loewen, Kristine Kemppainen, Erik (Cristina) Kemppainen, Ryan Kemppainen; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Vesel, Matthew Vesel, Camden Loewen, Raelyn Loewen, Liam Kemppainen, and Camila Kemppainen, and Dick’s brother, Robert (Karen) Colin.

They are preceded by Richard’s parents, Joseph, and Christine Colin; Alice’s parents, Alice and Frank Prymos; Richard’s brothers, Arthur, Raymond, and Lawrence; and Alice’s sister, Elizabeth Diedrich.

Heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Minnetonka and to the staff at Auburn Manor in Chaska and the Park Nicollet Hospice nurses, especially Donna, Jessica and Diane, for the care they provided to Dick.

Visitation will be at 10:30 am Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope, followed by a luncheon.
