Richard Lester Raskob, 65, died at his home in Loretto on 10/17/2021 while battling lung cancer.
Rick, or Ricky to many, spent much of his life honing his skills as a talented carpenter, and his ability to find solutions to any construction challenge was second to none. From a young age, he had a passion for figuring out how everything works. If it had wheels, he could drive it. If it was broken, he could fix it. If it wasn’t invented yet, he liked to make time for that, too. Thanks to his authentic character, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others and could engage with young and old alike. He especially enjoyed spending free time on his Harley. Those days spent with good friends and his “Babydoll” Brenda were among his best.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Lester & LaVergne Raskob, and brother-in-law, John Anderson. He is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Miller; son Andrew Schmidt; daughter Angel Miller (Justin Klatke) and their children Rylee Jo & River Rose; siblings Renee Anderson, Lorilee Sandmann (Robert Galen), LaDonna Kartak (Mike), David Raskob (Angie) & James Raskob (Patty); many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of cherished friends.
