Richard Laverne Jacobson

Richard Laverne Jacobson, 88, of St. Louis Park, MN, passed away on October 11, 2021, due to complications related to COVID-19. He will be remembered for his tender heart, dry sense of humor, dedication to family, strong faith, and an ability to make anything grow into something beautiful.

Richard was born November 5, 1932, near Hancock, MN. He is preceded in death by parents Eva (Miller) and Lloyd Jacobson; brothers Ervin (Elaine) (Arlene), LeRoy, Wallace, and Delbert (Patricia); grandsons Gregory, Kevin, and Aaron.  He is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Marietta (Ascheman) Jacobson; sons Gregory (Susan), Steven, James (Wendy), Mark (Jon) (Jinniece), and Jeffrey (Lori); brother Alvin (Myrna); sister-in-law Patricia Jacobson; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church (5900 W. Lake Street, St. Louis Park, MN) with reviewal beforehand at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapel (3960 Wooddale Avenue, St. Louis Park, MN) beginning at 9:30 a.m. Escorted procession from reviewal to church.
