Richard (Rich) Meredith Fuller, 71, passed away on 7 August 2019. He is survived by his wife, Louise; siblings, Sue (Ray Churack), Carolyn, and Bill (Mary Kay); daughter, Megan (David Kendellen); grandchildren, Landon and Arcadia; and many others who loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Marge Fuller.
Rich was born and spent his early years in Duluth, Minnesota, before moving with his family to Denver, Colorado, and eventually the Twin Cities. After graduating from the University of Minnesota (Mathematics), he served in the US Coast Guard as an engineer, developing an early global navigation system. Rich went on to work as an engineer for nearly 40 years at 3M, Imation, and Seagate, specializing in thin-film coating. He developed data recording products and held several patents. He lived for most of his adult life in Minnesota apart from a sojourn to North Carolina to spend time with his grandchildren.
Rich was married to the love of his life, Louise, for nearly 48 years, and their devotion to each other was readily apparent in their daily lives. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren (often being decorated with stickers by his granddaughter), travel with Louise, crossword puzzles, and science fiction. His family and friends will greatly miss his dry wit and uncommonly kind heart.
