Richard A. Franzen
Richard Anthony Franzen, age 91, of Golden Valley, passed away on December 19, 2019 after a stay in hospice care.
He is survived by wife, Joyce; brother, Ron; sister, Dolores; children, Denise, Michelle, Yvonne, Rick and Rob; 14 grandchildren, Nicole Boczek Skovbroten, Dominique Caldwell, Dan Linnihan, Conor Linnihan, Grady Linnihan, Gavin Linnihan, Scott Hoban, Sheila Hoban, Lucy Franzen, Ruby Franzen, Chloe Franzen, Daisy Franzen, Sonia Franzen and Nadia Franzen; great-grandchild, Rosabelle Skovbroten.
Dick loved the Vikings, card playing, Tootsie Rolls, Diet Coke, his dogs, cigars and holing a clutch putt on the 18th green. But his real passion was his family and friends – those close to him knew of his kindness, loyalty, humor and overall friendliness to those he encountered (“Hiya!”). He will be greatly missed.
