Richard also served two years in the Air Force Reserves.

Richard met Sonia when he helped out at her family’s corner grocery store. They married in 1962 and moved to New Hope where they raised their three sons. They also lovingly welcomed two foster daughters into their home. Richard had a love of the outdoors including hunting, fishing, ice fishing, and camping. He also loved watching his grandsons’ hockey games. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Skippy, playing cards, feeding the birds, and going to garage and estate sales.

Richard was a hard-worker who took good care of his family. He was a humble, loyal man who will be missed by many.
