Rebecca L. Chelmo (née Eccles)

Rebecca “Becky” Chelmo, of Crystal, MN, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital. Born on May 19, 1956, in Rapid City, South Dakota, Becky’s life was defined by her deep love for her family, and her nurturing spirit. Becky worked in food service within the Robbinsdale Area Schools’ Language Immersion District 281. During her time there, she not only served students with care and warmth but also formed many lifelong friendships with colleagues. Earlier in life, she attended beauty school and throughout her years, cherished every opportunity to cut and style the hair of friends and family, a gift she loved sharing as it gave her precious moments to connect and visit with her loved ones.

A true nurturer at heart, Becky always put her family first. She found joy in the simple yet meaningful moments—gathering with loved ones, sharing stories, and cheering on her favorite team, the Minnesota Twins. Her kindness and selflessness were evident in all that she did, and her presence brightened the lives of everyone she met. Becky was a devoted mother to her children, Clayton Chelmo and Lindsay Chelmo, and a proud grandmother to Logan Chelmo and Aubrey Williams. Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy and pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

In accordance with Becky’s wishes, the family will hold a Celebration of Life in her honor. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be shared soon.

Becky’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
