Phyllis Carter

Born April 29, 1925 to David Forbes and Kathryn Linnihan, passed away March 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Bill; son Steve and sister-in-law Joan Forbes.

Survived by sister Helen (Jim) Walsh; brother Ed (Jeanne) Forbes; children Dave (LuAnn), Paul (Kerry), Tim (Christina), Mary (Charlie) Lawrence,  Kathleen;  grandchildren Jamie, Kristy (Mateo) Gutierrez, Kim (Adam) Gillick, Nikki, Tommy, Molly, Billy Lawrence, Andrew Lawrence, Veronica Lawrence, Ryan, Brendan, Demetri, Alexandra; great-grandchildren Isabella and Lucas Gutierrez, Aidan and Owen Sullivan; daughter-in-law Heidi Brandenburg; many nieces and nephews.

Treasured by all who knew her, she had the gift of making each person feel special.  Never one to sit idle, Phyllis was an avid reader and life-long learner. She continued working until the age of 90, referring to her job and many friends there as her “social club”.  She leaves us a Legacy of Love, grounded in her Catholic faith, supported by her sense of humor, unfailing grace, keen wisdom, and love for her cherished family.
