Rev. Philip H. Dell, Age 70 of Maple Grove passed away December 4, 2019.
Phil was born and raised on Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Capital University and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He served as a youth pastor at 1 st Lutheran Church of Crystal for a few years before going to work for Control Data. A short time later, he began at United Health Group were he co-founded Optum, serving as vice president of sales and marketing. He was named CEO of MedEx. He retired as a pastor from Lord of Life Lutheran church in Maple Grove.
Phil is survived by loving wife of 35 years, Carol; children, Gretchen (Ron) Edwards, Jason (Annie) Dell, David Harland, Holly (Bill) Moss; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; sister, Carmen (Chuck) Hasdorff; brother, Rob (Suzie) Dell; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial service 11 am Tuesday at Lord of Life Lutheran Ch. 7401 County Rd. 101, Maple Grove with visitation beginning at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
