Philip R. Barker, age 74, of Brooklyn Center passed away April 29, 2021 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He spent his last days surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by wife, Rita; daughters, Robin (Todd) Thorsen, Holly (Marc) Paul, Megan (Josh) Shea; grandchildren, Skyler and Cole Thorsen, Dalton and Ashland Paul, Kara and Hadey Shea; sister, Dianne Holborn; nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Ardelle; sister, Jackie Bartko.
Phil and Rita just celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary in February. Phil was a bartender at Nye’s Polonaise Room for 47 years, 2 months, three days and a few hours. He had a great sense of humor and liked to make jokes.
Memorial service 11 AM Thursday, May 20 th with visitation one hour before, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway. The Barker family requests friends come dressed casually. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
