Peter L. O'Donnell, Jr. 63 of Brooklyn Park, passed away Sat., Nov. 28, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter, Sr. and Marian.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lori; two daughters, Jillian (fiancé Devin Lightheart) and Sara (John) Brisky; two grandchildren, Calvin and Haley; and three sisters, Cathie (Jerry) Anderson, Bette O’Donnell and Diane Cordes.
Peter loved his family and enjoyed hosting birthday and holiday celebrations at his home in Brooklyn Park. He was known for boasting about how much he "helped" to prepare food when he only just added the salt or the sprinkles. He did, however, absolutely love wrapping gifts and decorating for Christmas. He was proud of his beautiful backyard gardens that he and Lori spent many years creating and nurturing together. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on the patio, surrounded by their gardens and listening to the birds (but actually keeping an eye on the neighborhood). He also had a longtime hobby of woodworking and has made many beautiful pieces for family and friends in his home workshop. Back when he was more nimble, he loved camping and canoeing too.
Peter retired from Sico Inc. earlier this year after over 40 years of employment. His time spent at Sico yielded many lifelong friendships that he greatly cherished.

Peter gained 4 years of life after his double lung transplant in 2016. In those 4 years, he visited the ocean, celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary, celebrated the birth of his granddaughter, celebrated his daughter's engagement, and spent more valuable time with his family, and for that we are forever grateful.
A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at a later date.
